Frequently Asked Questions
Comprehensive Answers
What types of home fitness equipment do you recommend?
A good workout can be achieved with minimal to no equipment as we know, but some equipment would most certainly not hurt. To start out, I would recommend an exercise/yoga mat, a few exercise bands, a stability ball, and a pair of 15-30lb dumbbells, depending on your strength level.
Do you charge extra for nutritional guidance and a diet plan?
Nutrition plays a monumentally important factor in your health and fitness, so of course that will be a vital part of our training. We will discuss your nutrition quite a bit and if it is really something we will need to work on, then we will track in some form or another. That could mean sending me photos of your meals, using a food tracking app, etc. I do not write up specific individualized meal plans, as that is out of my scope of practice, but nutritional guidance will most certainly be included with training.
How are you different from a regular trainer at a gym?
I have worked in a commercial gym as a trainer, so I used to be that "regular trainer at the gym." I have gained valuable insight and experience from working there that I think makes me a better trainer. I have taken that knowledge and my other experiences in the fitness industry to apply them into AP Fit Club, where I believe I can help people even more than before.
